Over the weekend, the Blue Devils traveled to Austin, Texas for the Kathryn Hammond Memorial Regatta hosted by the University of Texas. Sailing in shifty conditions on Lake Travis, Duke Sailing placed first overall with an impressive 41-point lead over second place. Lucia Zerbino '20 and Vincent Miao '18 finished 1st in A-fleet, and Liza O'Connor '17 and Katie Cassedy '20 did the same in B-fleet. Congratulations to Texas A&M for finishing second and to Tulane University for finishing in third! In addition, thank you to UT Austin and the Hammond family! Looking forward, the Blue Devils are scheduled to compete in the SAISA conference championship this coming weekend.

This past weekend, the Blue Devils traveled to Flowery Branch, GA for the North Points 5 Regatta hosted by GT Sailing Club. After a day of shift and challenging conditions, Duke Sailing placed 3rd overall in a fleet of 12 boats. Vincent Miao '18 and Katie Cassedy '20 finished 3rd in A-fleet and Liza O'Connor '17 and Camden Ford '20 finished 2nd in B-fleet. Congratulations to College of Charleston Sailing for winning the regatta and the University of South Carolina for placing second, and thank you to the Georgia Tech team for hosting! We'll see you this upcoming weekend at University of Texas for our first intersectional regatta of the season!
