With a solid contingent of returning upperclassmen and talented freshmen, Duke Sailing started the fall strong. Battling with a brutal current and the top teams in SAISA, Duke finished 9th out of 17 at the SAISA Open on September 12th-13th in Charleston, SC. This past weekend, the team traveled to Tennessee for the North Points 2 regatta, finishing solidly in first place after capturing six bullets in ten races, with Alex Katsis ’16 finishing first in four out of five races. Congrats to freshmen Forest, Veohnti, Julia, Daniel, Alfonso, and Nick for doing so well at their first college regatta!
Next weekend, the team travels to Clemson for North Points 3! Full scores breakdowns can be found at http://scores.collegesailing.org.
